In this special interview, we have the pleasure of speaking with Amare, one of the most intriguing figures in the music world.
With a unique approach to transcending genres, Amare shares insights into their artistic journey and the inspirations shaping their work. Their ability to connect emotionally with listeners elevates them from being just a performer to a true storyteller.
We’re excited to explore Amare's creative process and how personal experiences influence their music. A heartfelt thank you to Amare for taking the time with us.
AWL : How would you describe your music in just a few words? What makes it special to you?
AMARE : I’d describe my music as uplifting, playful, melodic, deep, emotional, and sassy, with a touch of organic warmth and joy. I don’t necessarily stay within the box of one genre, it’s more important that the music moves me, and that it tells a story. By blending elements of jazz, rock, and classical music into a 4/4 electronic rhythm, I create a sound that resonates not just with electronic music fans but with anyone who loves music that touches the soul.
Music is so powerful; when you have a bad day, listening to some good music can be enough to feel better. My goal is to bring music that has the power to lift your mood, make you feel at home, let you forget your worries, and put your problems into perspective…
AWL : Let’s talk about your new track "Squadra." What inspired you to create it, and what does it mean to you?
AMARE: “Squadra” is a collaboration project with the Italian producers VBROTH. We share the same love for music, and we have a similar music taste. I always love their productions, and we have previously collaborated through making remixes of each other's tracks. Working on a collab track was the cherry on the cake. It’s a melodic techno track crafted to take the listener on an emotional journey. Whenever I play this track in front of a crowd, the dance floor explodes. I think we succeeded in our idea of crafting a track that truly moves people.
The track is also a testament to the power of collaboration in music. By exchanging ideas, the track kept improving. Therefore the title is Squadra. Squadra means "team" in Italian, symbolizing the connection and creativity we brought to this project as a team.
AWL: Who are some of your biggest musical inspirations? Are there any artists that have shaped your sound?
AMARE: My inspirations range widely—from the emotional storytelling of classical music, which I discovered during ballet school, to the raw energy of punk rock bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam I listened to as a teenager. Artists like Simon & Garfunkel and Eels have shaped my focus on storytelling and emotional depth, while jazz music has introduced me to improvisation and complex harmonies. I blend all these influences into my sound, which creates an emotional and unique style.
AWL: Your music blends melodic, deep, and organic techno with house elements. What themes do you love to explore in your tracks?
AMARE: My music aims to uplift and inspire, but not in an explicit way. I focus on creating those magical, goosebump moments that allow people to connect deeply — with the music, with themselves, and with each other. The musical trip might be associated with different themes ( bring up different experiences or insights) for different listeners, depending on how they interpret the music. The same music might bring different people to different places in their mind.

AWL : You have your own label, AUDACIOUS. What’s it like to release music under your own brand? Any challenges you’ve faced along the way?
AMARE: Audacious has been my event concept since 2017, in June, I released music under the umbrella of Audacious for the first time. Through curating the music for Audacious, I could support, but also showcase music that resonates with me. It’s incredibly empowering because it gives me the chance to build my own stage, and decides which artists I share the bill with. It’s a way to let people know with which artists I would like to be associated with.
Artists of whom I really appreciate their artistic vision. Self-releasing music is not necessarily what I will do from now on, I also like to get feedback from labels I love. It does allow me to release music faster though, and to see how the music performs, because you get access to the statistics of plays and streams etc. When you release on a record label, changes are high that you never hear anything about it, unfortunately. In any case, it was a good exercise and it taught me a lot about music law (copyrights etc). It’s a complicated matter and it took me quite some time to study it.
The biggest challenge is balancing the creative aspects with the business side— promoting music and events is exhausting and time consuming, and organising an event gives a lot of stress. It takes my focus away from my music to logistical and organisational aspects of music business. So it’s not my plan to go too far in that direction; What I love most is music production, so for me it’s important that my primary focus stays on music production.

AWL: Outside of music, what are some of your hobbies or interests? How do they influence your creativity?
AMARE: I have a deep interest in psychology and education, which stems from my previous career as a professor and researcher. This background influences my approach to music as a powerful tool for emotional expression and connection and definitely helps with crowd reading and understanding what the audience needs.
I also love traveling and exploring festivals, as it introduces me to new cultures, sounds, and perspectives that I bring into my music.
And I love cooking! It’s actually similar to DJing, you mix different ingredients into something that makes you feel good and gives you energy :-)
AWL : Can you give us a sneak peek into any upcoming projects or events? What can fans look forward to?
AMARE: Absolutely! I have been in my studio almost 24 /7, there is a lot of new music coming up. Next release on Audacious will be my track, Motus, featuring a live saxophone performance by Rogue Fire. In January my track Reviving will finally be released on Tanzgemeinschaft, both tracks are projects with about 20 different versions and edits - after every road test I would tweak them again; now I can finally be proud of the results.
AWL : Lastly, do you have a message for your listeners? What do you hope they take away from your music?
AMARE: To everyone listening: I hope my music inspires you to feel, to dance, and to connect with the world around you. I want my tracks to be the soundtrack to your best memories and your moments of escape. Whether on the dancefloor or through your headphones, I hope you feel inspired and embrace the magic of the moment. Music is a universal language that can unite us all. I hope my music gives you a sense of joy, connection, and empowerment. Thank you for joining me on this journey—I’ll always give my best to make every experience special for you!
