Kölsch, one of electronic music’s leading producers, takes a bold step toward his new album KINEMA with the release of the opening single “All Week.” Released on IPSO, Kölsch’s own label, this track opens a window into the expansive and intimate world of KINEMA and also signals Kölsch’s new live performance vision: “Kölsch and the Machine,” a modular and reimagined live show.

The first impression “All Week” offers is that the album opens with a distinctive, unusual, and captivating groove. The track features a lively percussion pattern and crisp snares; through this framework, a melody line, like a world wind, weaves in, adding both elegance and kinetic energy. Notably, this melody is not merely a repeated motif; it points to a warm, central sonic movement that carries the album’s overall texture.
This evolving sonic world is designed not to confine listeners to a single formula but to wrap around a wide palette with a sense of scale, luxury, and depth. “All Week” does not aim to define the album single-handedly; it serves as an introduction that hints at KINEMA’s inclusive and multi-layered atmosphere. As the track progresses, the interplay between rhythm and bassline strengthens, creating a call-and-response axis that feels primal yet universal—a language born at the intersection of humanity and technology.
KINEMA itself aims to assemble a rich spectrum of soundscapes into a cohesive whole rather than elevating a single formula. The album seeks to craft a cinematic narrative using varied textures and tones. Kölsch presents this story not as a one-off experience but as parts that complement each other over time. Consequently, KINEMA emerges as a project that cannot be defined by a single track but reveals a mesmerizing image when viewed as a whole.
On the live side, things become even more exciting. The new live show “Kölsch and the Machine” brings KINEMA to life with modular performances and reinterpretations of classics. Designed around a modular performance concept, this show invites the audience to engage with the space in a dynamic, interactive setup. The European tour, launched with ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) on October 23, will carry this live experience across the continent throughout the year. It reflects a return to Kölsch’s creative roots while pushing the live format forward.
“All Week” is now available worldwide on streaming platforms, carrying the momentum into the rest of the KINEMA project. The full album release and the lead single from KINEMA, “Sad Makes Me Happy,” will follow on October 17. These successive steps promise listeners not just an album but a journey—a project that can transform into a living story.
So, how will KINEMA impact the scene? Kölsch’s musical universe is being reshaped by this project, which fuses technological infrastructure with live performance. If you’re curious about how human-centered sounds evolve in the techno world or you’re seeking a new live experience, KINEMA is worth exploring. The journey starting with “All Week” may herald a new era in the techno scene.
